Traditional fiber splice protection sleeves typically use a solid reinforcing rod to protect the fusion splice. During installation, shrinkage, handling, or external compression, stress can be transferred directly to the optical fiber, potentially causing micro-bending, increased insertion loss, or even fiber breakage.

The Perforated Splice Protection Sleeve introduces an innovative perforated tube structure that provides superior fiber protection while minimizing the risks associated with conventional sleeve designs. Instead of allowing external forces to act directly on the fiber, the perforated tube creates a protective "cage" around the optical fiber, isolating it from mechanical stress and ensuring long-term reliability.
